This turbine mounting solution can be used to mount the Wren Micro-turbine to an existing structure or building. The mount kit is manufactured from heavy-duty steel, industrial vibration isolation materials, all of which are zinc plated and powder coated for excellent resistance to weathering. The mount kit is designed for a number of fixing options, and can withstand high wind loadings on the Wren Micro-turbine.
Unsuitable for use with friable mortar, sand lime mortar, aerated concrete blocks.
Roof-mounting a small wind turbine should always be considered a last resort. The turbines performance will suffer due turbulence caused by local topography at rooftop level. If possible, the turbine should be mounted as high as possible on a freestanding tower. Freestanding tower kits to suit the Wren Micro-turbine will be available soon.
